The Prevailing Wage is a Rhode Island general labor law poster poster provided for businesses by the Rhode Island Department Of Labor and Training. This notification is required for some employers, such as employers of government financed construction workers.

This is a state labor poster enforced by the Rhode Island department of labor and training. It’s a general poster recommended for posting and important for all employees within the state. In the poster are rights of employees working on state or municipally financed construction projects as regards wages, overtime pay, and apprentice rates. It forbids payment less than the Davis Bacon wage rate and entitles the employees to an overtime pay for hours worked over 8 per day and 40 per week. The poster also contains a guideline how and where to file a claim of improper pay. It is optional to post the poster but when displayed it should be done at a conspicuous place for all.
